Subfolders lost?

Postby a94andwi » Sat Mar 08, 2008 10:51 am

Hello.

I bought myself a Qnap 209pro NAS and there was a problem moving files quickly since the copying process was NAS-->PC-->Nas.
With muCommander I can connect via FTP on both left and right window and quickly move files NAS-->Nas.
As you might imagine this is much more quicker than go moving the files through my pc first.

There is just one problem. In the right window I see all folders. When I open a folder that I know is not empty (There are several folders in the main folder) I can not see the folders. They seem to be lost. Files in the main folder are shown though. It is only the subfolders that doesn't exist.

Have I configured muCommander wrong or is this a known bug?

Hope someone can help me.

Hi Anders,
Congrats on your new toy and thanks for your report! I don't think there is any known bug that would explain what you describe.

That being said, I'm not quite sure I understand the problem. Has the transfer caused any data loss or is it 'just' a display issue when accessing your NAS via FTP ?
In the latter case, could you please provide a screenshot of the folder in muCommander and in another program to illustrate the difference ?

More generally, if the problem is reproductible, can you please provide the exact steps to reproduce it, along with any information you may have about the FTP server ?

Regards,
Maxence
