Japanese translation

Postby Nardog » Mon Dec 03, 2007 12:20 pm

I've created the Japanese translation for muCommander here, this is based on the nightly build of "2007-12-02".

 I think Korean translation ID should be not KR but KO, as country code of Korea is KR but language code of Korean is KO (like country code of Japan is JP but language code of Japanese is JA). See also: List of ISO 639-1 codes - Wikipedia and ISO 3166-1#Officially assigned code elements

Wow this is great, thank you *very* much for the contribution which will be useful to lots of people!
Having this fascination for all things Japanese, I may use muCommander in Japanese for a while ;)

I'll integrate the translation ASAP and let you know as soon as it's in the nightlies.

Thanks for pointing this out, I'll review the existing country codes to make sure they all comply.

Many thanks again, I'll keep you posted.

Hi again,

The Japanese translation has been integrated and it looks mighty good! The current nightly build has the translation in case you want to check it out.
I've reviewed it for completion and it's all good except for one entry which has no value :
Code: Select all
prefs_dialog.look_and_feel

Also, could you please let us know your name so we can add it to the credits ? Unless you prefer using your nickname, it's up to you.

If that's OK with you, you'll receive an email before every new release (every month and a half approximately), to give you a chance to update the translation.

Thank you once again for the contribution!

Thanks a lot! Your changes will be reflected in tomorrow's nightly build.
The Japanese dictionary is almost 0.8.2-complete, there are only a few entries missing.

Cheers,
