[Feature request] Find files which contains entered string

Postby N3o21 » Thu Apr 29, 2010 10:09 pm

Hi,

muCommander is amazing app. I found it when I was searching for Total Commander replacement for Mac OS X.
There is almost no feature missing for my usage. But I have one wish. Its searching by content. I manage hundreds of small config files, and very often I need find file, which contains some text. This functionality is in the only feature I miss a lot in muCommander.

Is it possible to add this feature in some next version?

Thanks a lot.

Hi there,

Well, the good news is that there has been some work done towards creating a robust search framework. This has been an often requested feature, and we do want to implement it.

Unfortunately, I really can't give you an estimate of when it will actually be implemented - we're all working on this in our spare time, and this is fast becoming a scarce commodity :)

I hope the lack of this feature isn't too much of a handicap, and that you can still enjoy using muCommander as much as we enjoy working on it.
